First Live Conversation Experience
Two Big Physical Losses in 2021 ~ A Session with a Wife/Mother and a Daughter/Granddaughter
I had a session planned with Gail Larrivee Huffman and her son, Tony, who passed in April of this year. Sadly, her husband of 47 years passed away just a couple of weeks ago. So when I reached out to her son in the days preceding our session, I also reached out to her husband…both son and father came through beautifully.
At the beginning of the session, Gail introduced me to her granddaughter, Tessalynn, who had wished to join us. So now we have a mother with a son and husband in spirit and a granddaughter with a father and grandfather in spirit. I put a request in to my team that first one come through and speak to both and then the other..just trying to keep things simple from a listening perspective. Despite the newness of their grief, both were able to hear quite a bit of what was said which was surprising to me and I was so pleased for them. Below, I focus on just a couple of areas of the conversation that took place.
In relation to Gail, her husband thanked her for caring for him when he was ill and sent his love, telling her he is still with her now just in a different way. He mentioned that they come together as she sleeps. As the conversation continued, he commented on how beautiful heaven was as they have motorcycles there. This made Gail chuckle, to which he immediately responded with how great it was to hear her laugh. Gail’s son shared with her that her grandparents, his great grandparents, had been there to meet him and that they had brought with them his dog, peewee. Tessalynn heard her father say the dogs name before I and her grandmother heard it which was wonderful. Apparently, Peewee had been crazy happy to be reunited with him and was there as the session was taking place. The son told his mom that PeeWee was now completely well again, all the sickness he had was gone.
With respect to Tessalynn, the topic of a particular ring and her recent graduation really touched my heart. Her grandfather mentioned a ring she was wearing in relation to a picture of him and her. Tessalynn confirmed there was a photo of her and her grandfather in which she was wearing the ring, at her recent graduation. Then, when speaking with her father, he also brought up the subject of the ring. He had bought her the ring and had spent much time choosing it. He mentioned her wearing it for her graduation and how sorry he was for not being there for it. He went on to say that he was always with her though and was so very proud of her. He talked to her about communicating with him, that she would find him by looking within. He mentioned hugging her in his own special way, a way that she would hopefully get to know. He also said that he was aware that she had so many questions in her mind about her life going forward..and not to worry, all will work out fine.
The middle photo below is of Tessalynn at her high school graduation ceremony this year, she’s with her grandfather who passed earlier this month. In the picture, she is wearing the ring that her father bought her. My heart and prayers go out to Gail and her granddaughter as they come to terms with the passing of two very dear loved ones in such close proximity this year. What I do is evidential in content and can help so much with the grieving process, but it doesn’t negate it..as many of you will agree. Love to all 🥰
