The Live Conversations
An Explanation of
The Live Conversation Experience
I use the term “live conversation” to describe the real-time, direct, two-way conversations that occur during a live session between loved ones on the earth plane and loved ones residing in the realm of spirit. These sessions are often likened to a phone call due to the continual and immediately responsive nature of the interactions. My team in spirit is present throughout the process… from the preparation before the session to overseeing the session itself. Each session is beautifully unique, with loved ones here and in spirit orchestrating the flow and content of the conversation, I simply act as a facilitator.
Sometimes, other loved ones who have passed may wish to join the conversation, but permission is always sought beforehand. Such occurrences have led to many wonderful family reunions. Parents, grandparents, children, siblings, aunts, uncles, and close friends have come through… their personality shining through their words and turn of phrase. expressions.
I began facilitating these conversations in February 2021, and due to their unique nature, I’ve found that the best preparation for a first-time experience is to speak with someone who has already participated in at least one live session. To support this, I have wonderful volunteers who are happy to share their experiences and answer any questions a first-time participant may have before their session.
Starting in early 2022, my team introduced image downloads to the live conversations. This resulted in images and moving visuals being downloaded during many live sessions. Our loved ones in spirit delight in sending these images of themselves and others. Before a download occurs, they always let us know it is imminent and often specify where the images will appear. Below are three examples of images that were downloaded during live sessions. More can be found on the Image Gallery webpage. The example on the left is from February 2022, featuring Mya, a little girl in spirit. This was the first moving image I became aware of:-
The Procedure Prior to a
Live Conversation Experience
When booking a session, clients provide a photo and the first name of the person in spirit they wish to communicate with. In the days leading up to the session, I reach out to the person in spirit, typically from my garden or another quiet outdoor space. I ask if they know why I’m reaching out, and they always do… expressing their delight at the opportunity to speak directly with their loved ones here.
During these garden conversations, I hear their words both in my mind and occasionally in the air around me. To enhance my ability to hear them in the air, I have these conversations during the quietest times of day, often just before daybreak when there’s no breeze or bird chatter. Below are examples of children in spirit speaking with me in the air during the preparation process. Please note, hearing their words is frequency-based, so not everyone may be able to discern them, but I hope most of you can:-
Hearing my client’s loved one speak in the air during the preparation:-
I record the audio from these garden conversations to create sound waves, which I use during the live sessions. My team refers to these sound waves as “soul waves,” which always makes me smile. These sound waves, each unique and lasting about 15 seconds, contain numerous sounds. Although I play the same sound wave throughout a session, it never changes; instead, the spirit world modulates the output to form words and comments from the myriad of sounds available.
What Happens During a
Live Conversation Session?
Most sessions are held via Zoom due to my global client base, though I also enjoy in-person sessions when possible. It is my understanding that a portal between the spirit realm and the earth plane is opened at the beginning of a live session, which then remains open throughout. My team lets me know that the loved one in spirit is present and the conversation begins.
During the session, loved ones on the earth plane speak directly to their loved ones in spirit, who respond in real time… just like you’d expect in a conversation. The spirit world creates their words by modulating the sound wave I play throughout the session. I hear most of what is being said as the words are spoken on a frequency that I can hear. The words are being created outside of my mind, they are produced externally through the sound wave. This process assures the independent, direct voice aspect of the conversation.
Whether or not my client hears the words depends on how closely their frequency aligns to that of the conversation. Some people may hear parts of what is being said without my conveying the words first, but the majority do not, at least not initially. When I repeat the words while playing the sound wave, it helps ground the information, creating a “grounding chord” that allows others to hear. However, grounding alone is not enough; the frequency needs to also be in alignment.
The two videos below beautifully illustrate this point. In both sessions, during the early part of the live conversation, my clients could not hear their child’s words, even though I was repeating them to ground the conversation. This was because the necessary frequency match had not yet occurred. And then, it happened, the frequency was realigned by Symphony. I could physically feel the shift, which was fascinating in itself. What stays with me most from the videos though, is the look on my clients’ faces when they suddenly hear their child’s words for the first time. It’s a moment I will never forget. The videos play without audio, as the words are spoken on a specific frequency that others may not be able to hear.
For those who struggle to hear or tire of focused listening, I convey the words being spoken, acting as a translator. In some cases, clients hear their loved ones’ words at the same time as I do, or even before, which is always a delight. Occasionally, clients are astonished to hear their loved ones’ words with a vocal tone reminiscent of when they were physically alive, creating breathtaking moments such as those shown below:-
The Content of
A Live Conversation
The Live Conversation experiences typically last between 60 and 90 minutes and are often likened to a phone call due to their interactive nature. Often, the most meaningful content occurs when my clients actively engage in the conversation. Here is a wonderful example: had my client, the lovely Gordeen, not mentioned the soup, Charlene’s delightful and evidential response would not have occurred-
All in all, these conversations are filled with love and can include profound moments, humour, the sharing of memories and current events, discussions about ongoing communication and signs, and so much more. Evidentiary content often emerges naturally, slipping seamlessly into the conversation… whether through a direct question being answered or in some other meaningful way. The personalities of our loved ones in spirit truly shine during these conversations. Familiar phrases are often used, jokes are revisited, and playful teasing can take place. Here’s a beautiful example of a son in spirit whose observations had both his mom and me laughing afterward:-
The happiness our loved ones in spirit feel when given the opportunity to speak directly with their loved ones here is almost tangible. With permission, other loved ones in spirit may also join the conversation, often leading to heartwarming family reunions. At this point, I must share a wonderful, deeply human moment that occurred during a live conversation between Nell Rose Foreman and her mother:
It’s important to note that seeking advice from a loved one in spirit can yield varying outcomes. While they may offer guidance at times, they do not always do so. They will not deprive their loved ones on the earth plane of experiences that foster personal growth. Similarly, they often avoid engaging in topics they consider counterproductive to the positive nature of the conversation.
Teaching moments frequently arise during these conversations, covering topics ranging from reincarnation to soul plans and much more. The independent nature of these exchanges often leads to enlightening insights. For example, one common belief is that our loved ones in spirit cannot possibly miss their physical lives here, that it is impossible to do so. However, this is simply not true. There have been plenty of occasions in live conversations where a loved one in spirit has mentioned missing someone or something on the physical plane. This does not mean they are unhappy or wish to return; it simply reflects a moment of missing an aspect of their physical life. Here is a snippet from two conversations where the topic of being missed was raised:-
Here’s a little fun that relates to my mishearing a couple of words during sessions, leading to much laughter:-
Images and moving visuals, often referred to as “mini movies,” are regularly downloaded during live sessions, though not guaranteed. These visuals can almost be photographic in nature sometimes, such is the detail. They have appeared on my clients walls, furniture, doors, lampshades and glasses to name just a few places. The spirit world chooses their spot for the downloads to occur and let us know, in real time, what they are doing and where. Below are two examples:-
How the Conversations Build Over Time
To celebrate the third anniversary of the live conversations, I created a presentation showcasing many beautiful moments from the conversations Shelley Nardini has experienced with her son in spirit, Dylan. This project was a true labor of love, and I’m deeply grateful to Shelley for all her help in bringing it together. As you journey through Shelley’s conversations, you’ll see how they naturally build on one another, just like a phone call, each conversation picks up where the last one left off. Enjoy!
The Evidentiary Detail
Our loved ones in spirit appear to understand the importance of providing evidentiary details during a live session, and they weave these details into the conversations in countless ways. Sometimes, the evidence comes through early in the session… “just to get it out of the way,” as one loved one in spirit once put it. I remember an instance where a child sang a few lines of a song at the beginning of the conversation. The mother immediately recognized it as a song she used to sing to the child when they were little. Upon her confirmation, the child let her know this was the evidence she needed and eagerly expressed excitement about continuing their chat. And, oh, do they love to chat! While a loved one on the earth plane may be rendered speechless as the reality of the connection sinks in of who they are talking with, the same cannot be said for those in spirit… they never seem to run out of things to say.
Evidentiary details can come through in limitless ways, often in forms you’d expect in a mental mediumship reading but also through tangible ways too. The voice of a loved one in spirit may sound like it did when they were in physical form, creating stunning validation. At times, clients have heard a familiar melody being sung by their loved one in spirit. And then there are the images that are being downloaded during a live conversation. Loved ones in spirit will often tell us when they are about to download images and may even specify where they will be placed. You can find examples of these images on the Image Gallery web page.
There are a couple of things to keep in mind regarding evidence. Loved ones in spirit bring it through in their own way… it may well correspond to a question that has been asked but not always. Endlessly searching for evidentiary content and little else, appears to stunt the flow of the conversation somewhat and who knows how much is missed as a result. When the conversation is allowed to flow, it can unfold in the most beautiful of ways.
I’ve created snippets of evidential content from some of the live conversation experiences. These snippets represent just a small portion of the evidence that comes through during a session and are beautifully paired with photos provided by my clients. They are like little bursts of sunshine, designed to bring joy to the hearts of those who read them. You can view a three of these snippets here, and by clicking the button, you can explore many more.
Live Conversations and
The Unborn and Very Young
Communication with the spirit of an unborn baby or a very young child is not just possible, it’s a reality. Regardless of the circumstances of their passing, the spirits of unborn babies can and do come through during the live conversations. In some cases, they may not come through directly but are lovingly mentioned by another loved one in spirit. Similarly, very young children frequently make their presence known. Click the link below to read about the heartfelt experiences shared by these wonderful parents:-
Live Conversations and
The Living
I was aware that telepathic communication with the non-verbal physically living was possible, as it has been documented and discussed many times. My own experience in this area has been interesting. Below is a wonderful validation that came through during a live conversation, where a living sibling was able to join their sibling in spirit after being rendered unconscious under general anesthesia.
The validation above made perfect sense to me. We are not our physical bodies; we are spiritual beings… extensions of Source, temporarily housed in physical form. We can also leave our bodies while sleeping, connecting with our loved ones and helpers on the other side. Knowing this, I understood the possibilities and patiently awaited an opportunity to facilitate a live conversation with a living person in some form. What unfolded on 3rd March, 2023, simply took my breath away.
Live Conversations with Loved Ones
who have Passed by Suicide
Aside from knowing there is no devil or hell in the biblical sense, my beliefs, understandings, and insights about life beyond the physical remain fluid. I am continually led back to things that I understood to a certain level and am given more insight and a deeper understanding. At present, my understanding is that events such as suicide, just like murder, are not definitively written into pre-birth soul plans. There may be an “exit point” for a particular time period, and there may be an increase in the likelihood of such an event happening during it, but other outcomes are also possible.
Having not personally experienced the passing of a loved one by suicide, I felt it appropriate to hand over this section to two mothers who have experienced the passing of a son and a daughter in this way. Both have since experienced deeply meaningful live conversations with their children in spirit:-
Live Conversations with Pets
I have known it was possible to communicate with our much-loved pets who have passed through the live conversations after my own dog, the beautiful Abbi, came through and spoke with me in 2021. However, it wasn’t until 2024 that pets began coming through during the live conversations I facilitate for others. After sharing my experience with Abbi during an Afterlife and Signs meeting, someone in attendance who had a live conversation scheduled for the following week expressed a wish to hear from her family dog, Dante. Not only did her son in spirit bring Dante through, but the family cat also joined the conversation. The evidence that came through from them both had us all laughing:-

The Zoom Recordings
A Gift that Keeps Giving
Many people have written to me, sharing that when they listen back to the Zoom recordings of their Live Conversations, not only do they hear what they heard in real time, but they often hear even more. For this reason, I recommend that anyone who has had a live conversation revisit their recording at a later time, particularly when feeling balanced and not overwhelmed by grief. New messages or words that may not have been audible during the session can sometimes be heard upon revisiting the recording. The phrase “a gift that keeps on giving” was coined by one of my clients after she listened back to her recording and discovered just how much more it offered her.
Bringing Orbs Through
I began facilitating orb sessions in August 2023, after my son introduced me to this new form of communication. You can learn more about the orb sessions and how they came to be on the Orb web page. Often, toward the end of a Live Conversation, loved ones in spirit express a wish to send orbs for their loved ones here to enjoy in real time. These interactive experiences have become a beautiful way to conclude the live conversations. Here’s a lovely example:
Our loved ones in spirit will sometimes also vocalise a message during the orb session, or even send an image through:-
Frequently Asked Questions
To date, I haven’t had a single instance where the loved one in spirit hasn’t joined the scheduled conversation. So far, all have been thrilled at the prospect of having the opportunity to have an interactive talk with their loved ones here on the earth plane. However, just as with pure mental mediumship readings, it is possible that, for whatever reason, the timing may not be right for a loved one in spirit to participate in the Live conversation. My team emphasises that if this were to happen, it does not mean that a loved one here is disconnected from their loved one in spirit.
If such a situation were to happen, I am told that I will know in the preceding days prior to the session date… when I reach out to connect with the loved one in spirit. They will either not join me during that initial connection or will let me know that the session isn’t meant to happen at that time. should this ever occur, I will notify my client and reimburse the payment for the session in full.
Usually, I ask that a maximum of two loved ones be requested, though I have accommodated a request for three loved ones to come through where they are all direct family members in spirit. I will need photos of all loved ones, together with their first name. I cannot guarantee that they all will be present, as per my answer to the question about showing up. There would be a full refund given in the unlikely event that no one joined the conversation but no refund if one of the loved ones requested was present.
They usually last between 60 – 90 minutes, though this is not guaranteed. I do not place a time limit on the conversation.
Yes, additional people in spirit can join the conversation but only with the permission of my client. Either my team or the loved one in spirit who the conversation was arranged with, will let us know that someone wishes to join the conversation. The person’s identity is given and the decision as to whether they can join the conversation is made by my client. They usually pop in just for a brief visit, being very aware that the session was arranged with someone else. Such happenings can lead to a beautiful family reunion.
When an additional loved one makes it known via my team that they want to join the conversation and you would prefer it not to happen, you can simply decline the request. All is well, your decision is respected and understood.
Tears are a common occurrence during a live session… as is laughter and astonishment when it sinks in that you are actually having a conversation with your loved one. Tears are understood and are met with love. I recommend that you have a box of tissues handy just in case.
Not at all! Those in spirit seem to fully understand the importance of bringing evidence through. While they may or may not answer your specific question directly, in my experience, they always provide evidence in some shape or form. That said, the conversations are about much more than just providing evidence. In fact, there have been occasions where a loved one in spirit has shared evidential details early in the conversation just to “get it out of the way,” allowing the rest of the conversation to flow naturally and be enjoyed. I encourage you to bring your questions, but do so without fixed expectations… let the experience unfold organically. You may be beautifully surprised by what comes through.
Yes, but not always in my experience. They will often shy away from giving advice if it will rob you of potential growth opportunities… good to bear this in mind.
Certainly if our loved ones in spirit consider a topic to be detrimental for whatever reason, they will not engage in it from my experience.
Suggested Preparation for a Live Session..
If possible, carve out a little time to prepare yourself and your environment before the session is due to start. Here are a few suggestions:-
- If it is your first experience of a Live Conversation, talk with someone who has already experienced one. I can provide you with the contact details of someone who would be happy to share with you and answer questions.
- Beforehand, meditate in whatever way works best for you. Sit quietly and focus on your breath, or perhaps do a guided meditation or a walking meditation.
- Touch base with your loved one, they will hear you. Talk with them about the session that is due to take place.
- Make a note of some of the things you’d like to talk about and have it to hand during the session.
- Make your environment prior to the session one that generates peace and calm within you. Perhaps sit outdoors, listening to the sounds of nature. Or play music that lifts your spirit in some way. Whatever works for you.
- Clear your mind of any worries or concerns you may have surrounding your day to day living. Be present and ready for your session.
- Make sure you’re in a quiet, comfortable location free of distractions… the session may last up to 90 minutes.
- Images and mini movies are being made during some of the live sessions by loved ones in spirit. To assist them in their creative endeavors, please try and provide a setting where there is both light and shade in your surroundings. For example, daylight entering the room via a window, a lamp providing a glow of light on a wall, a ceiling light creating reflections of light on walls and doors… a light source that provides a reflection on the lens of your glasses and so on. You can see some of the images that have been created during a live conversation in the Image Gallery web page.
- And finally, resist building up any preconceived ideas of how you think the session may go, come with an open heart and mind and see what unfolds.
While it’s not guaranteed that you will hear your loved one’s words directly, most clients do hear at least some of what is said, especially since frequency realignments began in February 2022. These realignments allow for adjustments to the frequency of the conversation, either at the start of a session or partway through, increasing the likelihood that clients can hear their loved ones more clearly.
Even with a frequency adjustment, my role in listening and repeating the words spoken by your loved one is crucial. By doing so, I ground the words and their vibration, making them more audible to others. I carefully listen to what your loved one is saying, repeat it word for word, and then replay the same section of audio so you can hear it for yourself.
Other factors may influence how well either of us can hear, such as the quality of the sound wave or the ability of your loved one in spirit to create words from the available sounds. Regardless of how much you personally hear, the session remains evidential, interactive, and deeply meaningful… many clients have described it as feeling like a phone call with their loved one.
There are times when the vocal tone of a loved one in spirit sounds remarkably similar to how it did during their time here, as shared in some testimonials. It’s truly breathtaking when this happens. Even when the actual words are not fully audible, the vocal tone can sometimes be recognized… or at least differentiated, especially when both male and female voices are present.
However, there are also instances where the voice sounds more like the tone of the sound wave as it plays, with words being formed through that medium. In these cases, it’s the message itself, rather than the vocal tone, that is telling. I cannot predict exactly how a person in spirit will sound when forming their words… we’ll discover that together during the session. Each conversation is beautifully unique, and that’s part of what makes the experience so special.
Yes, sessions held via Zoom are recorded. Additionally, I sometimes film parts of the session with my phone if images are being downloaded. As for whether you’ll still hear your loved one’s words on the recording… based on feedback, that does seem to be the case. In fact, many clients report hearing even more in the recording than they did during the live session. That said, the true magic happens in the moment… during the live session, when a real-time conversation is unfolding.
I have spoken with personal family members in spirit within 24 hours of their passing using a sound wave, so there doesn’t appear to be any time constraint across the veil. However, it’s important to consider your own grieving process. If it’s too early, the emotional heaviness of grief may make it more challenging to hear your loved one clearly or to fully enjoy and engage in the conversation. This could potentially distract from having a meaningful and comforting experience. Ultimately, the decision of when the time feels right is entirely yours to make.
For a first-time session, I recommend experiencing it on your own, without others present. There are several reasons for this suggestion. First, live sessions are highly interactive and can take on a deeply personal tone, which might feel more comfortable in a one-on-one setting. Additionally, having another person present can sometimes be distracting, as complete focus is often necessary to fully tune in to what is being said. Another consideration is that one person may hear more than the other, which could unintentionally be disheartening or create a distraction. For these reasons, I recommend the first session be a solo experience. That said, I have facilitated many first-time sessions where two people were present, and the experience was equally wonderful for both. The bottom line is that this decision is yours to make, and whatever feels right for you is perfectly okay
In terms of the preparatory work I do, the process remains the same. I will connect with your loved one in spirit and prepare sound waves in advance of the session date. However, the content of each session evolves. Subsequent sessions build on previous ones, much like phone conversations. While some topics may naturally be revisited in later sessions to provide additional insights, new topics often emerge as well. New evidence also comes through, tailored to the nature of the discussion at hand. You can read about the experiences of several individuals who have had multiple sessions on the testimonials webpage. I would also recommend reading about Shelley’s experiences, here is a link to the video presentation:-
The Healing Nature of the Live Conversations
As a mother with a child in spirit, one of the most important things I needed to know was whether my child was okay and happy. That reassurance, and so much more, can be discovered in a live conversation. All the things you never had the chance to say when they were physically alive can be expressed. Events can be discussed, confusions cleared, explanations given, and meaningful discussions leading to mutual understanding can take place.
Many people have questions that haunt them in relation to the actual passing of their loved one. These interactive conversations provide an opportunity for peace and reassurance to be found. Moreover, their personalities shine through their words, and a broken heart can begin to mend. Laughter often accompanies tears, and moments of joy can ease the sadness. Knowing that your loved one happily continues to exist and remains close to you makes it so much easier to live your best life here. Whether you view these conversations as part of your healing journey or as a way to deepen your connection, speaking directly with your loved one can be a profoundly transformative experience.
Not only do these conversations support healing, but they also foster ongoing communication and connection, as reflected in the words of this parent with a child in spirit:-
Kindly be aware, I am no longer actively operating a booking system for Live Conversations but do maintain a waitlist for those interested in booking a session.
