They may send you more commonly recognized, general signs such as feathers, coins, or butterflies. However, they might also choose deeply personal signs that resonate specifically with you… signs that relate to who they were here and the bond you shared. For example, my son often uses the color red (a red car, red markings on a bird) to catch my attention. He may also highlight his birthdate, the number 18, the year 1997, or even a tiger, as I used to call him “Tiger Tom.” Signs can be connected to favorite foods, hobbies, sports, songs… anything that carries meaning.
That said, not every feather or butterfly is a sign. Genuine signs are often accompanied by an emotional response that feels undeniable… a sensation that floods your being as the sign presents itself. This feeling might be one of immense love or a profound sense of your loved one’s presence. You may experience goosebumps, warmth, or tingling. While the way we experience signs can be as unique as we are, there’s always a certain something that sets genuine signs apart from ordinary occurrences. With time, you can develop discernment to recognize these moments more easily.
